Tinley fits the Hero class through and through. She has an endless drive to explore and discover. She loves finding all the hidden nooks and crannies of the Wildwoods, and imagining grand stories to go with them. She also has a fierce sense of justice and will fight for that until the end. She hates seeing wrongdoing occur. She'll get herself bruised or beat up if it means standing up for someone.

However, what holds Tinley back the most is that she has a severe case of anxiety. She's entering her teenage years and is more than uncertain about what to do about this. She gets frustrated with herself very easy and isn't very good at starting new conversations. She's just come to accept that she's going to be a loser forever. She's jealous of people who seem to have it all together, particularly her older sister, Charlotte.</sub>

✦ H I S T O R Y

<sub>Tinley's parents divorced when she was still very young; she barely remembers it-- although she knows that her sister Char remembers it quite well. All that Tinley has ever known is keeping one bag packed to bounce back and forth between houses (and, to be frank, she prefers her mom's new girlfriend to her own father anyway.)

Tinley's early childhood was quite normal-- or as normal as Indieville can provide. But then things started to get... bad. It was about two years ago, when she first entered middle school. Her anxiety was really started to develop, and her grades were dropping too. Her social life was near nonexistent. Tinley needled her parents until they agreed to see if there was any medicine that could help her, and thus they found Dr. Apollyon. He happily wrote Tinley some prescriptions, and counseled her once a week. It worked like a wonder. Suddenly she was braver than she used to be, she studied better than she used to, she made jokes her classmates actually laughed out-- her parents and sister were thrilled at the progress she was making! And who really reads the exact formulas on a prescription anyway?

Soon, things took a turn for the worse. Suddenly Tinley was waking up in the middle of the night in sweats, and not long after she was unable to sleep at all. Dozing fits in the middle of the day brought nightmares. Dark circles formed underneath her eyes. Her school life that she'd been so hopefully and hesitantly building crumbled. It was worse than before, and she was so tired that she could barely think.

Turns out in the end that Dr. Apollyon was a sleep demon slowly feeding off of Tinley's fear and discomfort. Yikes. His license has since been revoked, and he's serving community service. Tinley's life has since much improved.... although true, it doesn't really help to be known in your class as "almost-demon-possession girl."</sub>

Piggy Bank: Tinley's super broke. But odd jobs around Indieville and recycling bottles gets her enough spare change for the occasional milkshake at Meadowbrook's, at least.
Portable CD Player: Tinley got it at a rummage sale! CDs are so ancient that she only kind of knew how to operate it, but since she isn't allowed to have a phone yet, this is all she's got.
TMNT Yo-Yo: This is Tinley's weapon! A foe might laugh at it, but no one will be laughing when Tinley shoots this plastic sonuvabitch into your nose. She knows tricks for it, too.

■ Her birthday is September 14th, making her a Virgo.
■ She has extreme distrust for medical professionals.
■ Tinley has never known a town not crawling with cryptids, so she kind of can't fathom a world without them.
■ That being said, Tinley is extremely wary of demonic entities. Almost getting possessed in sixth grade will do that to you.
■ Tinley is interested in going into archaeology when she gets older. Indiana Jones has lead her to believe it'll be a swashbuckling life of adventure.
■ She's constantly covered in bruises and scratches from roughhousing and climbing trees.
